The natural planar wavefront of the RD 1.6 minimizes vertical off-axis dispersion, making this tweeter conducive to a stacked line array design with minimal comb filtering effects. Horizontal off-axis dispersion remains nearly flat to 45 from the high-pass crossover point (2,500 Hz @ 18 dB/octave is recommended) out to 40,000 Hz.
