The Presonus Comp 16 is a great little mono compressor with presets for 16 different situations, which is great for an easy fix to many problems when your not too technical.

2 for percussion snare/kick & L/R (mono) Overhead.,
3 for fretted , Bass, Acoustic guitar & Electric guitar.
3 for keyboard, Piano, Synth & orchestral (i.e. pads)
2 for limiter Hard (brick wall), Contour (fatten up mix)
3 for effects, Squeeze (glass tele/strat sound), Pump, Tamer (control low bass transients)
You will need a pre amplifier if you wish to use it directly with a microphone otherwise use as an insert or after an output in the case of a mix.
