RARE Vintage-Original-1966 – The Holy Grail – Mosrite of California FuzzRite Pedal-Buy yourself a present – The long coveted early 1966 Mosrite Fuzz Rite – Holy Grail of Fuzz pedals -The primal fuzz of the Fuzz Rite pedal is absolutely one of the best fuzzes ever devised. This FuzzRite is just a killer germanium based fuzz pedal. It’s instant biker soundtrack with this beast.Used on -In A Gadda Da Vida – Iron Butterfly – Born to Be Wild -Steppenwolf – The Pusher – God Dam the Pusher Man – Ventures – 2000 lb Bee – & nails – Satisfaction bythe Rolling Stones -It’s hard to not love this pedal. It doesn’t clean up the same way a Fuzz Face or my Companion fuzz does when rolling back the volume knob. Instead the Fuzz Rite goes into faux sitar mode. It’s actually cool in a different way. This pedal can actually do basic chords that often sound like a garbled mess on the Maestro or other vintage fuzzes. This pedal goes from mellow to razor sharp with the right knob. The left knob is a level. Super simple. Love this pedal.Vintage Rare-Original-1966 Mosrite of California Fuzz Rite Pedal. Condition is Used.Used – But Excellent. This 1966 FuzzRite pedal has a huge tag board 4″x4″ & lot’s of capacitors & resistors & the black plastic stomp button –   every 1968 Mosrite Fuzzrite has a small 1″x 1/2″ – Sprague orange rubber covered circuit board with the stainless steel stomp buttonThis is a special Early- Early model – 1966 Mosrite FuzzRite -and has incredible tonal variations within. From that harsh trebley fuzz to a sweet mid range fuzz, and finally a wonderful sounding bassy fuzz that brings this pedal over the top in my book. Lots of gain and lots of fun. This is the Rare – Holy Grail – 1966 Mosrite FuzzRite Fuzz pedal – with Germanium transistors -While most well known for his iconic offset guitar designs, Semie Moseley experimented with effects production in the 1960s, creating some lasting units like the Mosrite Fuzzrite. It is now a regularly cloned effect and reissued recently by Sanner in 1999.Mosrite FuzzRite – Years of Production: ca. 1966 – to early 1969 – 1967 & later used Silicon transistors -Dimebag Darrell’s Secret Weapon pedal ???https://youtu.be/vULwfpOZ-jkFor those who know & those who want to Know !!!The answer is YES!!!!!!!!!!!This pedal was used by the group Iron Butterfly on the 1968 song – In A Gadda Da Vida -https://youtu.be/UIVe-rZBcm4Original patina – 54 year old vintage- Sounds Amazing -Prices for a 1968 Mosrite FuzzRite fuzz pedal range from $900.00 to $1575.00 usd on Reverb.Prices for this Extremely Rare 1966 Mosrite FuzzRite – Holy Grail pedal – $2,500.00 to $4,000.00 cadhttps://youtu.be/7GfdIx26ou41966 Mosrite Fuzzrite – Info -http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/mosrite/fuzzrite#controlsInformationdesigned by Eddie Sanner who also designed the Rosac pedals laterVersionsv1: The first 250 models used Germanium transistors, but these were not temperature stable: they didn’t sound good on a cold floor.v2: many thousands were made with discrete parts on a paper phenolic circuit board, using silicon transistors.v3: 20,000 were made with the orange Sprague module.Ed SannerI had come up with a fuzz tone pedal for Leo LeBlanc, a friend of mine who played steel guitar. Semie said we should sell it, so we started production of the Fuzzrite. We had already shipped 200 units when LeBlanc discovered a problem with the pedal when it was sitting on a cold concrete floor. We then switched to silicon transistors and a modular network built for us by Sprague Electric.an old Mosrite catalogMosrite’s Fuzzrite is amazing many professionals with its total performance. Foot operated, it offers the guitarist sound effects ranging from fuzzy to the wildest distortion. It is sturdily built and designed with the best materials available to give it a variety of expressive sounds.

http://www.effectsdatabase.com/model/mosrite/fuzzriteA very elegant and simple folded steel construction with a brushed chrome finish and killer knobs, the FUZZ rite by Mosrite of California oozes 1960s class. One point you’ll see a lot of units with very worn lettering this is just a result in the way the pedal was manufactured with a large clear decal that was applied to the top of the unit. Most of these have yellowed with age and started to flake off. There are controls for Volume and Depth, a sliding battery on-off switch on the side and the usual footswitch. So how does it sound? The FUZZrite is a deceptively versatile unit. It absolutely nails that trippy late 60’s California vibe but is equally at home with other styles and could be considered a good all-rounder.In operation, this unit is pretty ballsy at full volume/depth with minimal background noise. Dropping the depth control a couple of notches down tames some of the treble and gives a great overdriven /fuzz sound. This fuzz is over 54 years old and will keep on rockin’ in the studio. Highly recommended and yes… I did play ‘In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida!’
