This Used Revox PR99 MK III is in good condition but does feature some cosmetic marks expected for an item of its status and age. This unit has been powered up but is not tested and screen is reactive as seen in pictures. Sold as Seen.

Revox PR99 MK IIII
Revox was the domestic hifi branch of the venerable Studer company in Switzerland and made what are generally regarded as the best open reel hifi tape recorders of their time. Although the Studer professional range was entirely different there were occasional overlaps, of which the PR 99 is most common. The PR-99 shares some of the same components as the Revox B77.
The Studer/Revox PR99 is often thought of as a professional version of the Revox B77 with balanced +4dB XLR inputs and outputs. However, it is a far superior machines; more ruggedly built with a digital tape counter on the Mark Three version (the earlier versions had the standard mileage-clock type analogue display). Bias can be adjusted for different tape types and the machines can be set up accurately rather than merely being optimised for standard tape as with their domestic kin. Rack mounted with meters, a well-cared for, serviced PR99 offers a relatively compact and cost-effective way to add analogue mastering (or tape echo) to a recording rig without breaking the bank.
