The Roland D10 synthesizer
Originally released in 1988. and was the more affordable version in the D20 D50 range.
This one was bought new in my family for around 1200 and has been used for gigs for about a decade
then used in a private music studio ever since. It has been in storage for the last year.
It is a five octave synth and weighs around 9 kilo.UK mains power lead built into it so its all ready to plug in and play. You will need external speakers of course.
Lots of sounds on this one, I have reset the factory sounds:
You have performance play mode with 8 banks each containing 8 performance sounds.
Then in Multi-Timbral Mode you have the same again for single sounds.
A huge variety of sounds typical to the 1988 period included, all the usual covered:
Piano/Organ/Bells/Brass/Vox/Guitar/Effects/Strings/etc etc etc.
Then you also have a built in drum machine so you can either play drums on the keys or
program your own drum patterns. The drum sounds are actually rather good and there
are a lot of patterns too.
And you can program a number of sound effects such as reverb and delay onto the synth
and drum sounds too.
I used this synth a lot in multi-timbral mode and found it could cope with a lot which was
one of the big positive things about it as well as some of the nice performance sounds.
In particular I liked the big fat brass sound and the warm pad on this one.
If you want to hear it in action check out youtube video:
Life Beneath the Blue Sky – Conflict & Victory
Life Beneath the Blue Sky – The Summer Night Dream (big brassy sound in particular)
Most of this was done using this actual synth and a DX7.
The synth has a card slot though I never had a card for it.
The original instruction manual will come with it.
Of note… the synth has been used a lot over the years and the joy-stick snapped but has been
repaired with brass as the picture shows. The front panel looks nice with only minor scratches, not much at all really,
the underside and back have more scratches but nothing too major.
Any questions feel free to ask.
Thanks for your interest.
Sorry the cute looking black cat in the photo is not included 😀
Available to mainland UK locations. I will post it to you well wrapped and as you can see the cost is very reasonable indeed!
You may also come and try the synth out if you live locally or collect in person if you buy saving the postage cost.
