Roland JD 800 Synthesiser. This is is the master for lush pads and the peak of 90’s synth technology.
It’s a lovely sounding machine and looks killer (looks are important).
I bought it from here with the glue death on the keyboard, I’ve fixed that so it is all freed up, however the membrane on the keybed is duff and needs rewiring to get it working. All other controls/sliders/buttons work just fine as does the display, it’s also had a new battery. You can remote control it via MIDI to ignore the keyboard problem.
I’d fix it but I’ve a load of unfinished projects which I’ve not got time for so need to let it go for someone else to sort. Fixed these are commanding 4-figure prices so they’re well worth the effort of repair, otherwise just use them with an external keyboard.
