Roland JP-8000 analogue modelling synth from the mid-late 1990s.
Never gigged, and comes with power lead and original manual.
One or two minor scuff marks on the sides and back, as shown in the pictures.
It’s in full working order and running firmware version 1.04 – I performed all the diagnostic tests on it this morning and they all passed, so all keys, knobs, sliders, buttons, pitch bend/mod wheel and ribbon controller all work fine, MIDI works etc. Internal battery replaced with new one last year.
The JP-8000 is excellent for use in any music where classic synth sounds are needed. For techno, dance, drum&bass, hiphop, film scoring, synth pop and more! It is used by the Crystal Method, BT, Orbital, Ken Ishii, Vince Clarke, Goldie, David Holmes, Prodigy, Groove Armada, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Faithless, Gary Numan, Ferry Corsten, William rbit, Paul Van Dyk and Garbage.
I’ll be very sad to see it go!
