First manufactured in 1982, the Roland SH-101 is an analog monophonic bass synthesizer most notable for its legendary use in techno and acid house music.
It has a simple layout with features such as a single oscillator with various mixable waveforms, CV/Gate control, a 100-step sequencer, and an arpeggiator.
It has been used by such artists as Orbital, The Prodigy, Aphex Twin, Devo, Boards of Canada, and Future Sound of London.
Now out of production and extremely hard to find.
