A great mid-90s synthesizer and sequencer!
Description
The Roland XP-80, released in 1996, is a 76-key all-purpose synthesizer workstation and MIDI controller that can be thought of as a hybrid of an updated JV-1080 and a powerful sequencer (MRC-Pro). The XP-80 features 16MB ROM subtractive PCM sound synthesis and the wonderful 32bit RISC chip (for advanced arranging) and is loaded with a ton of usable synth patches: basses, pads, strings, leads, percussion, and more. The semi-weighted keyboard has great features such as velocity sensitivity and aftertouch. The XP-80 was notably used by the Flaming Lips. If you’re looking for an excellent all-around synthesizer with a nice 90s taste, be sure to check out the Roland XP-80.
This keyboard is in very good condition, with only minor aging and wear overall (please see photos), including a few minor scratches and discoloration on the body.There is a key burn(please see 9th picture). Furthermore, the unit has been thoroughly tested by our professional technician and works perfectly. All keys, all buttons, and the display are fully functional.
