Welcome to the sale of my Samson 7KIT drum mic set. This is a great kit, perfect for recording or live. I bought it about 12 years ago as I was recording loads of bands at the time and this was really well priced and sounded great. I had always intended to replace it and get more specialised mics like the kind I was using in the bigger studios at the time, but this set just kept giving me the goods and so I never changed it. You get a large diaphragm kick mic, a snare and three toms as well as two small diaphragm condenser mics to use as overheads. It has seen a fair bit of use over the years, but is in great condition and they all work as perfectly today as ever. The snare mic has never been used as I always used a set of beta57’s on the top and bottom and most jobs were on kits with only two toms, so the third tom mic has seen little use. As they all look the same, its testament to how well they’ve been looked after.
Any time I have ever recorded an acoustic instrument I have put up the two overhead mics to get room ambience so much so that they became a permanent fixture to record any ideas I might randomly have. I’m really going to miss them for that, but I am no longer recording bands and I need to fund some new equipment for my personal recordings and so they have to go. These are still available as the Samson DK707 with a change of colour, but they are ostensibly the same mics and they go for around 270, so these do represent quite a bargain as they offer a really nice sound with easy mounting and a carry case to take them anywhere.
Have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1WJz2Ucmws. It’s a cover an old band of mine did in the our lockup about 8 years ago for a laugh and I used these mics for that. They did a great job considering the other noise going on in an untreated room.
I’ve put two delivery options, the more expensive one will be with full compensation for loss in transit, whereas the normal eBay delivery in only up to 60.
