Hi, and thanks for looking at my auction for this brilliant Samson XM910 900 Watt stereo Mixer Amplifier
This is an amazing machine for the price and a real mixer amp. By that I mean that you have outputs from the mixer section if you want to run a bigger system with bigger amplifiers and, on the other hand, you have amp inputs, so that you can mix on a bigger board with more channels and only use the amplifier section if you wish. Like a lot of Samson gear there is no fan, so this is a very quiet unit if you’re going to use it for speech – no fans coming on at just the wrong moment!
Everything is fully functional, but there are a couple of bits of damage so let’s get them out of the way first:
– The knob is missing from the effects selecter. Easy to replace and doesn’t stop you selecting effects.
– Two of the sliders on the Main Stereo Equaliser have been snapped off. This is annoying, but you can easily use a flat screw driver or whatever to move what’s left, and the sliders work fine in terms of cutting or boosting their frequencies.
– The EFX to Monitor pot has snapped off flush with the front panel. This has been carefully drilled and a screw has been inserted which allows the pot to be turned just as easily as the others and so this is only a problem cosmetically.
– The knob is missing on the crossfade slider, But only the knob, so it is easy to operate, works perfectly and can easily be replaced.
This has neat features that you wouldn’t necessarily expect for the price:
There are switches for both graphic channels to allow you to easily compare your EQ work with the straight signal;
You can switch the effects on and off with a button – no messing with levels;
You can configure the system to run as a stereo amp from the mixer output, to run in bridged mode for more mono power, or to run as two separate amps one for front of house and one for stage monitoring or whatever!
As you can tell, I think this is a great piece of kit and someone is going to get a flexible item here for a good price so happy bidding.
It’s heavy so I would prefer the buyer to collect, but I will post if required though this will cost around 20.
