Unfortunately it has been stored unused for several years with the battery in situ, and the battery cover will now not open, presumably due to internal corrosion. It is not working as the battery is exhausted, I am unable to replace the battery, and the item is therefore offered for parts or repair. However, this unit is serviceable if the batterycover can be removed. AFAIK this model uses through hole capacitors, and the microphone circuitry is separate from the battery area.
