Quick auction, because I can’t do a quick buy-it-now anymore.

PA sound system

300 watt Carlsbro mixer amp

pair of Torque 150 watt speakers with 15 inch Celestion woofers

Cable and leads.

UK made, not this Chinese rubbish.

Honest wattage, can go loud.  The 6 amp fuse on the mains inlet shows where this amp is drawing it’s power from, but if you want magic watts there are plenty of sellers on ebay who will take your money from you and deliver junk.

These amps were the workhorses of many a gigging band for years and years.

6 channels, high and low inputs or connect up to an old hifi using the din socket.  The amp will also accept a signal from the headphone socket of a mobile phone with the right adaptor lead.  I can make one up for you if you are unsure what to look for.

The system is easy to set up and take down.  Pretty good sound from the 15 inch speakers.  300 watts will shake down the walls of a house party.  6 channels mixed down to mono.  You can connect a mic to one of the balanced inputs (the red ones).

It also has a spring reverb.  Check out the photo of the inside of the amp.  That metal can running almost the entire length of the amp is the reverb tank.  While you are at is take a good look at all the other hefty components.  Pretty good eh?

Quick auction at one day.

The system has seen some use and has the usual dusty patina and nicks and scrapes.  The amp is probably 25 years old.  It has just been serviced and is working well.  The speakers also have a few nicks and scrapes but look OK.

No returns on this package.  Inspect the photos and ask questions before the end.

Routine small print follows…..

The item is located in Stoke Newington, London, N16 postcode.  Collect from Stoke Newington or I can post to a UK mainland address for 30.  That is three large packages.  Please note that these might take some time to box-up.  A Uk mainland adress does not include the Scotish highlands or one of the many little islands – these will be charged at the courier rate for a remote area.

Payment expected within 5 days.

Paypal or cash on collection.  If collecting then I would prefer cash.

The postage charge quoted is for UK mainland delivery.  If you live on an island or some other far-flung place like the Scottish Highlands then confirm the postage rate with me first.  If your postcode is classed as a remote area then the courier is very likely to surcharge for delivery and I will need to pass this price on to you.  Email first if you think this might apply to you.

If bidding on a mobile phone then don’t leave things till the last minute.  If you are looking at this and have any inclination that you will be bidding, (rather than just taking a look and seeing how things go) then I would advise you to place a bid now.  It doesn’t need to be your final bid – just get the thing in your bidding list.  I have to say this after all the problems I myself have experienced when trying to place bids on ebay auctions when using a mobile phone.  Quite clearly, ebay on a mobile phone platform, just doesn’t work properly.

Please read the item description and take a close look at the photos so that you are fully aware of what you are buying.  In particular take a look at any faults in the item that I have pointed out.

The sort of things I sell on ebay tend to be music or audio related.  Out of this, just about everything is either hard to obtain or long discontinued or out of production or just generally rare.  It does not need to be rare and therefore expensive, but I put things up for sale which I know are difficult to find in a regular audio store.  I could just chuck them in the bin like most everybody else, but I just have this feeling, that somebody out there might want to own the sort of things I sell.  It might be some use to them, or it might have some nostalgic value.  But that does not mean that I will plug away and list the same thing week on week.  There has to come a point where I accept that the thing needs to go.  So if it does not sell then it might well end up getting broken up for parts or just ditched in the bin.  The best policy, if you are on the lookout for this particular item and you see that I have got it, then just buy it or bid on it if it is an auction.  Don’t say ‘oh he’s going to list it again next week at a cheaper price and that is when I will buy it….’  because honestly it might never happen.  When it’s gone it has gone.
