Soundlab L041D 12 Inch Bass Chassis Speaker 4 Ohm 350W Barely Used!! See Below!!. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd ClassHiHere’s my basically new Soundlab L041D bass driver (speaker, sub woofer etc) that I bought to fit into a vintage guitar (not bass) cabinet When I originally fitted it, I found a strange vibration that I thought was the speaker (it turned out it wasn’t…) This was NOS (new old stock) that I bought just before Christmas from a shop that had closed down. One of the push fittings for the wires was missing, which I replaced with one I had. I thought it must be the speaker at fault, so bought another one, which I fitted into the same old cab but the same noise was still there; it turned out it was the cab at fault, not the speaker… DOH!!So, here it is back up for sale. It turns out that all I needed was a spacer ring (see last photo of the speaker ring fitted to the guitar cab), as the cone was touching the front at the top, where the wood isn’t fully cut out – see last photo. It seems 100w Celeston guitar speakers don’t have such a large excursion as this 350w bass speaker; obvious really, especially when the volume and bass were dialled right up on my TC Electonics BH250 ampBTW, this combination of TC BH250 and this L041D is a match made in heaven! I originally paired the amp up with a Soundlab 10″ 250w 8 ohm speaker, which I fitted into a small cabinet for ‘cozy gigs’. I still have that to use at home in my bedroom. This speaker is for ‘outside gigs’ where the previous cab was only slightly starting to struggleI’ve just fitted a spacer ring into the cab and tried this speaker in it and it worked perfectly!!However, I don’t need two speakers, so I have kept the one that I bought as a replacement this week, as it has a warranty with it, which this one obviously doesn’t It’ll come boxed up in the original box that it came with (see photos)Speaker has been used for only a couple of minutes. However, there are marks on the sticker on the back of the speaker, as clearly seen in the photos; these were there when I bought it. The speaker itself is totally unmarked, with only the marks on four the bolt holes where I tried it in the cabinetSelling cheap to clear. Any questions, just ask.
