A library of cinematic percussion created and designed by the father of the modern soundtrack genre, Hans Zimmer.
Hans Zimmer is one of the most successful, influential and prolific composers of his generation. A winner of countless awards (including an Oscar), Zimmer has created a huge number of hugely successful movie soundtracks that have attracted billions of dollars, countless awards, and critical acclaim.
The HZ01 library includes more than 200 gigabytes of compressed content (out of 600 gigabytes combined and edited .WAV that were recorded by Air studios in London).
The recording process used the world’s largest Neve 88R desk console, with 96 microphones and a Neve Montserrat amplifier. There is even a short film about the creation of this library, which can be viewed here.
This is not an imitation of the percussion used in the films Gladiator, the Fall of the Black hawk, the Dark Knight, and the Beginning. This is a real recreation of it.

The most epic set, performed by the most epic drummer, in three epic locations, produced by the godfather of the epic composer, producer, and sound engineer Hans Zimmer (one of the most successful, influential, and prolific composers of his generation). His writings highlighted a generation of hugely successful films that have turned over billions of dollars, countless awards, and critical acclaim. Hans defined not only the compositional style, but also the production approach and sound innovations that influenced a generation of composers.

HZ02-Los Angeles is Jason Bonham and his exclusive DW Vistalite installation, recorded on the legendary “Newman” Stage at 20th Century Fox, the Sony Scoring Stage, and on “The Cathedral”. Recorded and mixed by several Grammy-winning engineers; Alan Myerson, Steve Lipson, and Jeff foster. The library also has exclusive additional content created by Hans himself. This is the final addition to our multi-faceted London percussion anthology. The collection (29,477 samples, 35,6 hours, 34,3 GB WAV format, 22,7 GB NCW compression format (stereo only) is recorded with round robins, dynamic layers, beater types and game styles, with a graphical interface and scripts developed in London by the best sample developers in the world.
