Studiomaster Trilogy 166 Mixer Mixing Desk – 6 Aux Sends! In full working order. Sounds great!
I have really enjoyed using this mixer and notice a big difference in sound quality compared to cheaper mixers making my job much easier. Great preamps and responsive EQ mean I’m not fighting unpleasant frequencies as much.
INPUTS
12 XLR or jack inputs. Or channels 11 and 12 can be used for two stereo line inputs on 1/4″ jacks
There are 3 addition stereo aux inputs on jack and one on phono for extra line sources or effects returns. Aux inputs 1 and 2 have a basic high and low frequency EQ and can be sent to auxs 5 and 6 only.
Channels 1 – 10 have in/off hi-pass filter at 100Hz to clean up unwanted low frequency pops etc.
Global phantom power on all 12 XLR inputs.
Listen (PFL) button available on all inputs for soloing a single channel in headphones without affecting the front of house mix.
EQ
10 channels have great sounding three-band EQ with a sweepable mid band, channels 11 and 12 have fixed high, mid and low EQ.
AUX SENDS
6 Aux sends on 1/4″ jacks for monitors or effects!
4 are switchable pre/post fader, auxs 5 and 6 I think are post fader for effects but I’m not 100% sure.
OUTPUTS
XLR main outputs, stereo or mono or 1/4″ jack outputs
1/4″ jack subgroup outputs
Channels 1 – 12 can be routed to main outputs AND 1 or 2 if 4 subgroups.
Master faders for main outputs and subgroups
Master knobs for aux outputs
No built in effects.
Sounds great, no crackly pots or faders. I had the mixer and power supply fully serviced a few years ago and it’s sounded so clean since then.
There are some cosmetic marks on some of the pots on channel 8 as photographed but they work well still. Also photographed is on the scribble strip where some tape has pulled off some of the paint and towards one corner where a small piece of the plastic casing has chipped off.
Condition is Used. Comes in original box. Collection welcome or dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.
