The D-Two is a delay / effects unit in a neat 1U package. Part of the TC Electronic family of rackmount outboard gear, its primarily a delay unit but offers chorus & flanging as well as filtered delay repeats. Since the demise of the legendary TC 2290 this is TC Electronics only dedicated delay unit

The D-Two offers up to 10 seconds of delay and all the editing you could wish for. It has rhythm tap for setting tempo, control over the number of repeats via the same tap input, stereo ping pong effects with five different patterns and delay filtering for analogue-tape-style repeats. You can even tap in a rhythmic repeat pattern and the D-Two will save & follow it

The D-Two can be connected digitally to a DAW via SP/DIF digital inputs & outputs. Its equally at home in the analogue domain with balanced inputs & outputs on jack sockets and 24-Bit AD/DA convertors for impeccable TC sound quality

The tap button and feedback button, right next to it, is easy to use, and the length of delay is great. Just spin the dial or hit tap

The D-Two is a very smooth, user-friendly delay unit. The dynamic delay function is extremely useful

Ive been using it for approximately a year and still rave about it. I particularly like the dynamic delay adjustments

I had one and should have never sold it. Its definitely a killer delay

Setting up a killer delay once meant a Studer A80 1/4 with varispeed, a pair of Dolbys, a reel of tape and a tape op to make tea then rewind the tape when it ran out. TC now makes it easy with the D-Two. It cant make tea, but the delays still sound great

TechnicalThe M-One XL is clocked internally at 48 kHz and will sync to incoming digital signals at 44.1 and 48 kHz. AD/DA convertors are 24-Bit with 128 x oversampling. Internal processing is 24-Bit and the unit supports 24-Bit digital inputs. Output dither is switchable. Digital connections are SP/DIF via the usual phono connectors. Analogue inputs & outputs are balanced on jack sockets with a nominal operating level of 0 dBu and maximum input & output level of + 24 dBu. See also the Tech Specs link above
