The Bizzy Bee Contact Microphone
Sale includes one bizzy bee contact microphone stored in a 100% natural cotton drawstring bag with a spare ball of beeswax. (Please see photos above).
Handcrafted from beech-wood the bizzy bee contact microphone has a very sensitive signal with a 2 Meter cable length as standard. Spare beeswax, blue or white tack for affixing the microphone to your instrument can be stored under the plastic dome which comes in handy if your out performing live… that way you’ll always have some spare.
This contact microphone has a wide frequency response and will faithfully capture surface vibrations produced by acoustic musicians and experimental noise makers such as sound artists and folly artists. It can even be used to record vocals by sticking it on a metal can and singing into the can, but I’m not sure about the results. Plug straight into your amp when performing live or through a pre-amp or High Impedance mixer when recording. I personally recommend the 4-Channel Micro Mono Mixer by ProSound for connecting to a audio interface if you are recording using a computer.
Note: Standing too close to your P.A. system can cause feedback as this is a very sensitive microphone. For clear results stand with your back to the P.A. With that being said feedback control can also be achieved.
