U47 Clone BU47The Neumann U47 is one of the most revered microphones of all time, racking up more number one hits then perhaps any other microphone in history. A microphone that is over sixty years old and yet still is the go to condenser microphone for many high budget, large-scale recording studios. You will not find quality like this in any other clone microphone in the world. Holding our place as the leading boutique microphone manufacturer. The Beesneez U47 Clone is built to the highest standard and includes paper in oil capacitors our very own hand made BV08 transformer, the Beesneez K7 Capsule, the Beesneez Swivel Mount Connector. Everything that you would expect from an Australian made and owned company and sets us apart from the rest. Sonic Characteristics The U47 was special, it had the ability to bring out the special source nuance of everything it captured. No single component in the U47 was anything super special or previously unused, however the magical combination or shall we say the sum of all of its parts truly made it an amazing tool of the trade. Sonically the Beesneez U47 (BU47) Clone is an accurate recreation of the original U47Circuit DesignThe transformer chosen for the Beesneez U47 Clone was naturally the Beesneez BV08. Made to the original factory specifications of the Neumann BV8.The UI30/25 lamination size was specifically developed for use only in audio applications. Due to the quantity needed this lamination can be very difficult to have made. The audio grade lamination material we are using we has been specifically made for this application, to ensure consistency and quality. We also seal the windings and laminations to prevent any acoustic resonance. The end result has been a beautiful sound that is not bright or mushy. This transformer screams 1950s!!!
The Beesneez K7 Capsule was the natural choice for a U47 Microphone. This is a single backplate capsule made famous by Georg Neumann & Co. The difficulties in reproducing a capsule like this is that it has both blind and through holes. The correlation between these holes controls the pattern via absolute distance and is quite mathematically complex due to having only a single backplate. The BeesNeez K7 capsule is made onsite in our factory and hand lapped before the diaphragm is carefully tuned and assembled. The 6 micron Dupont mylar is framed, sputtered, tuned and fixed right here in our shop. One thing that sets the Beesneez K7 apart from others is the determination to bring to the market a truely Australian made product. The tube in the Beesneez U47 clone is the 6205 NOS.
Build QualityThe Beesneez U47 Clone body is made from brass tube. The base is turned from 380 grade solid brass round that we cut and form in our very own 8-axis turning center. Our proprietary swivel mount connector features a gold-pinned Bakerlite socket. Our pins are turned rather than pressed. The advantage here is a lifetime of connection without degradation.Whats Included: Beesneez U47 Clone Microphone Swivel Mount Connector and Lead BeesNeez  Power Supply Wooden BoxSpecifications:Capsule TypeBeesNeez K7 Microphone CapsuleFrequency Range / SensitivityOmnidirectional (40 17,000Hz)
