RARE VINTAGE EMI/HMV ‘His Masters Voice’ 2351H RIBBON MICROPHONE+CASE+ PHONO CABLE.

The absolute Rolls Royce of professional microphones costing over 18 guineas when released!

Originally made in the 1940s in England by EMI for use with their high end recording equipment and then also sold to HMV who put their logo on the front.

Condition is ecceptional with barely any signs of use. This is a classic low impedance mic which is designed to be used with the correct transformers to get the best sound and levels and are great in creating that authentic 1940’s sound.

I have here up for auction a truly unique piece of vintage sound equipment, a EMI 2351 H Ribbon Mic in absolutly mint and complete condition and in fully working order

From original manufacturer’s description:

‘Produced by EMI engineers with a background of over fifty’ years experience in manufacturing HMV and Columbia Recording equipment, here is the finest Ribbon Microphone on the market.’

The crackle finish and chrome plating is perfect. It comes complete with its original box which again is in stunning condition.

This microphone was also badged with HMV and is identicle in all apart from branding (HMV purchased EMI and continues to use their credibility and brand).

It is a great looking and great sounding mic fantastic for room for drums and great for ambient electric guitars piano and vocals.
