Vintage Reissmann MR51 rebuilt LD capacitor microphone + PSU and hard case
Reissmann MR51 large diameter capacitor microphone.
This is an end address microphone.
These have a good ‘vintage’ sounding capsule.
As the original electronics circuit is high impedance and not suitable for studio recordings I have rebuilt the valve (or Tube) circuit to very similar to Oliver Archut’s modified Neumann CMV563 schematic using an EC92 valve. It has a Sowter transformer in the microphone body to provide balanced low impedance output.
I have modified the original mounting for modern mic stands and fitted an easy to adjust clamping method to ensure a ‘non-creeping’ mount.
Power supply.
Power suppy built in an old Calrec valve mic psu I had. Case resprayed in Hammerite paint new electronics and hardware. Microphone connection cable is new Belden cable.
