Sound Booth – Isolation Booth – Acoustic Booth. (Whisper Room SE 2000 series)
This sound booth is offered for sale as is, for collection only. The largest section measures 265cm x 110cm, so you’ll definitely need a van. It’s a two person lifting job, but I’m happy to help load this end.
The booth comes with a lockable door, which includes an integrated window. It comes with a 3 part powered ventilation system, which will add an additional 17cm to one or more of the external walls. It also comes with the optional upgraded Castor Plate feature, which is an additional floor component with wheels. This helps with mobility, but also helps with low-end structural noise transmission.
I’ve been using the booth for the past 6 years, but I’m moving house, and unfortunately can’t accommodate it. Over those six years, I’ve used it as a post production space, which easily accommodated a large table, a chair, a computer, two computer monitor screens, 2 large speakers, a synthesizer and stand, and a microphone stand. It does come with 2 additional acoustic panels, but you may need to buy more panels, depending on your requirements.
NOTE: The booth is not soundproof, as it is a portable booth, and you may hear some attenuated sound, if standing in the same room. However, it does reduce the sound passing through its walls, and provides a dry acoustic space for either recording, performance, practice or voice overs etc.
The booth is showing some signs of wear and tear, but assembles perfectly. However, this is reflected in the price for a sound booth of this size and upgraded specification.
Sorry I don’t have the assembly instructions, as I got it second hand, but assembly videos showing a similar (newer model) can be found on the Whisper Room website.
