This is a used Yamaha FB01 FM Synthesiser Module. It’s a 4-operator FM synth, based around the DX27 engine, so is a perfect, bargain-price source of classic DX100 sounds (in particular the legendary “Solid Bass”) – it’s basically a cheaper, slimmed-down version of the 6-operator DX7 (and the keyboardless TX7).
This particular module runs on 110v mains (US/Japan) voltage, although I’ll throw in a step-down transformer so that it can be used on UK power.
It’s in reasonable cosmetic condition and perfect working order.
