This is a used Yamaha TX16W Vintage Digital Wave Filtering Sampler. It’s in great shape, all electronics are working. Comes with 6x Original Sound Disks (Piano, Strings, Bass, Guitar, Choir, & Brass) + 3x Original Manuals (Operating Manual, Basic Sampling Guide, & System Disk Version 2 Operating Manual) + more than 50 floppy disks with various custom made sample libraries & a few backup system disks.
Notably, the two pull out guides on the front panel are in great condition. I’m not the original owner so I don’t know if the RAM has been upgraded or not.
This is a 12-bit sampler, with 16-voices, 8 monophonic outputs plus a “mix” polyphonic stereo outputs, an external audio input (Mic,Line), MIDI in/out/thru. This is the 120V version.
There’s a way to boot the device using an alternative OS called Typhoon 2000, which is a freeware OS that’s known to be much easier to work with. The floppy disk case has a key that was unfortunately broken but will include it in case you’d be able to duplicate the key.
