Zoom H6 Audio Field/ Location Recorder
This recorder has 4 XLR/TRS microphone/line inputs capable of providing phantom power for microphones.
In addition it has the proprietary Zoom microphone socket for connecting the provided x-y and mid/side microphone. Several other microphone options are available, including a mono and a stereo shotgun microphone capsule and also an adapter to provide 2 additional XLR inputs.
In terms of use, it has been used to shoot 3 short films over 5 days and around 12 hours of documentary in total. I’ve hooked it up to a laptop as a soundcard for 1 morning of recording and it has recorded around a day of foley out in the field. Otherwise, it has sat in its case. It functions without any hitches. All the knobs and switches operate exactly as they should. It has no faults. For cosmetic condition please see the pictures. Nearly all the work I have done with it has involved a mid-side shotgun, so the included microphones have been tested, but never used for any work.
It’s a great recorder, but I have need of more channels, so I’ve upgraded to another Zoom recorder.
It comes supplied with an X-Y microphone and a mid-side microphone, windshield, and hard case, sadly with a catch missing.
Accessories include a soft case and a remote control.
Priced to sell since I’m using the money to part finance my upgrade.
